Press Release Regarding The Official Visit Of The Minister Of Foreign Affairs H.e. Mr. Ahmet Davutoğlu To Macedonia , 24.03.2010

Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Ahmet Davutoğlu will pay an official visit to Macedonia on 25-26 March 2010 upon the invitation of H.E. Antonio Miloşoski, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia.

In addition to meeting with his Macedonian counterpart, Minister Davutoğlu will be received by President Gjorge Ivanov, Speaker of the Parliament Trajko Veljanovski and Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski. Minister Davutoğlu will also meet with the members of the Interparliamentary Friendship Group, and attend the dinner given in his honor by President Ivanov.

Minister Davutoğlu will deliver a speech at the Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje on the “Turkish Foreign Policy and the Balkans”, attend the inauguration ceremony of the Yunus Emre Cultural Center. He will also visit Ohrid, Kalkandelen (Tetovo) and Manastır (Bitola).
For the lasting peace and stability in the Balkans Turkey firmly supports the aspirations of Macedonia to integrate with the Euro-Atlantic structures.

During the visit, all aspects of our bilateral relations with Macaedonia will be taken up and views will be exchanged on regional and international issues of common concern, with a particular reference to the Balkans.
